What we collect

Only what you type into our form, and a note of when and from where.

What you type into the contact form on our home page, and nothing else from you:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Company optional
  • I am a (your role)
  • Your message
  • Email updates only if you tick the box

With each message we also keep the date and time it was sent, the page and the printed link (for example a QR code) you came from, and the exact privacy notice and consent wording you were shown.

Technical data

  • Bot check: Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the form is sent by a person. Your IP address is used for that check and to stop repeated sends; we do not store it with your message.
  • Visit counts: Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not follow you to other sites.
  • This website sets no cookies of its own.

How we use it

To answer you, and to send updates only if you asked for them.

  • Answer your message
  • Send you research news and updates, only if you ticked the box
  • Keep the form safe from spam and abuse
  • See which pages and printed links bring people to us, in total counts

Sharing

Never sold, rented or shared for marketing. It stops with us.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

A few services run parts of this website and our email for us, and handle your details only to do that work: Cloudflare (hosting, the database that stores your message, the bot check and visit counts) and Microsoft 365 (our email).

How long we keep it

Messages: 24 months after we last talk. Updates: until you unsubscribe.

  • Messages and contact details: while we are in touch with you, and deleted 24 months after our last contact.
  • Email updates: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your email address and the date, so that we never email you again.

SMS communications and consent

Texts only if you opt in. Your consent is never shared.

We may collect your phone number and consent when you opt in to receive SMS communications from us.
